We had our dog shaved. I thought our dog was unhealthy and fat. No, he just had a ton of hair. I kind of feel bad for him. I can't imagine carrying that much hair around. Brady thinks he can come in the house now since there isn't any hair to shed.
Now some training advice. Just in case this little tip might help someone else. Maren mocked my 12 minute mile. She didn't mean to and it totally did not offend me, but it sure as heck motivated me. I have been trying to stretch my stride and go forward more than up and down. That has helped. I also have been running faster. It improves my time, but I can't keep it up. Becky had a brilliant idea today. Pick a slower pace and run the whole time so our bodies get used to it and then gradually pick up the pace. We tried this the last part of our run and come to find out 12:00 is way to slow so we naturally fell into 11 - 11:30. Hopefully we will be able to end up at a 10 min mile and running the whole time. Out of our 5 miles today we walked 1 mile. I only mentioned Maren's comment, because I am so glad I have friends that make me want to be better. Thanks Maren!

Cute dog!! LOL I bet he is a lot happier being free of the thick fur. I would have done that too..haha
I love friends who motivate!! Every word does not have to be laced with sugar to be effective when giving constructive advice. She sounds like an excellent friend! :)
Be my guest...mock my 13 minute mile, I can run 2 whole miles now and I H-A-T-E HATE running so I'm pretty proud that I'm running at all. It has occured to me that if I run a little bit faster those 2 miles will be over with sooner...hmmm!?!
