Do you like the posed picture? We just started having to deal with honesty. Wyatt told his first lies last week. Minor lies about not doing chores, but I can't stand liar's. Brady and I talked with Wyatt and decided that the consequence for telling a lie would be soap in the mouth. We told Wyatt this was his warning and to remember that before he lied again. I have always wanted the punishment to be worse for telling a lie than the actual thing they lied about. We are sitting in church on Sunday, waiting for Sacrament Meeting to start and Wyatt out of the blue says, "We forgot the soap." I said, "What soap?" Wyatt-"From when I lied the other day." I just had to smile to myself. He lies, so he doesn't get in trouble and then reminds me of the punishment he didn't have to have. Sorry lots of posting today, but it was a fun busy weekend.

They make super cute pirates and I think your methods of discipline you've posted sound all so effective from the toys in Lexi's room to the turtle to soap. Cute little kiddo's.
They're my favorite!!
Super cute little pirates! How like a kid to remind you of the punishment they didnt get..haha I hope he learned his lesson! :) Where kids are concerned, I can't stand: lying, hitting and biting. Those are the ones that have to be nipped in the bud right away. Good parenting dear friend! I learn a lot from you! :) love ya!
You and me both! I can't stand the kids not telling the truth. Lexi is just like Wyatt. She'll remind about the punishment. Karly on the other hand doesn't care if she's caught. Spankings don't mean a thing. So we are always working on the truth. Definitely a daily battle!
Tomorrow's friday and the last day you blogged was Monday. Come on, I'm waiting in anticipation! :)
