Worth the Trip?

Brady had training in Salt Lake so we went with him. It wasn't the best trip ever. When you are travelling with children, always check to ensure the hotel offers continental breakfast and indoor swimming. That way you save at least $15.00 for breakfast. If the weather is freezing. You can always swim. Obviously we did not luck out with any of the above options. The kids were soooo bored, we snuck into the Little America swimming pool. Once a rebel always a rebel. I can actually blame my friend Hilary. It was her idea, but a great one! Bradyn absolutely loves swimming and has no fear of water. Lexi holds on for dear life, just in case she might drown. Wyatt is a fish! It tuckered the little devils out and they slept like babies!
Thanks also to my friend Lianna for letting us invade her house because it was too cold to go to the zoo. She is awesome!
When all else fails Krispy Kreme to the rescue. The kids loved watching the donuts being made. Of course we all love the donuts. We ate a dozen on the way home between us all!
Good family time, but could have been more memorable. Crazy comment from Wyatt. He said "Mom, you know why I didn't like the Red Lion? Because the car scratched every time we drove out of the parking lot." Random, I thought for sure he was going to say, because there was no indoor pool.
We obviously visited Temple Square. It is sooooo beautiful! Thank goodness it is a family oriented affair. Bradyn is a screamer. Wyatt really wanted to tour the conference center, so we walked over and this grandpa greats us and Bradyn is pointing at him saying "bampa, bampa." Then throughout the tour he would randomly scream. I'm thinking of my dad and how much he hates the kids screaming, and it is amplified through his hearing aides. I apologize to the man giving us the tour and he says: "Oh, it's ok, I muted my hearing aides." I had to laugh. He was a great sport and the kids loved the tour! Thanks to patient men, who believe in teaching children reverence rather than condemning them for being kids! Bradyn also discovered that when you go up to see the Christus, it really echos, like super cool echo. Needless to say, we didn't stay up there very long because he was having so much fun making it echo. The rest of us couldn't keep from laughing. I am sure Jesus laughed too!
